Flexibility Working on 3, 4 or 5 axes, the CU 1005 vertical machining centre performs very high precision operations on simple or complex workpieces.
Modularity The intelligent design of the CU 1005 makes it extremely flexible. A wide range of auxiliary modules and equipment can be added to the basic configuration to extend machining capabilities by adapting them to specific requirements. In addition to its manufacturing flexibility and adaptability, the CU 1005 is particularly rigid and stable. Its mechanically welded construction is based on a load-bearing cast-iron frame, providing significant mass as well as great stability, and ensuring an excellent surface finish of machined parts. Operating autonomy Workpieces are loaded manually, however, an optional robot for automatic loading can be fixed at the outset and integrated into the basic configuration. This added flexibility allows the machining-centre to operate on a continuous basis, day and night, greatly enhancing its autonomy and independence. The whole system is constantly CNC supervised, inspected and controlled. A wide range of applications Whether it be watchmaking, jewellery, medical and connector industries, electronics or micromechanics, to name a few, the CU 1005 is ideal for machining extremely high quality workpieces - from a complex prototype to mass produced parts - for applications in all sectors where very high cutting speeds (thanks to the latest generation of tooling) are essential for precision work. A key feature of the CU 1005 is its versatility, which results from its modular conception and the user-friendliness of its numerical control. 3, 4 or 5 axes? The choice is yours! No-compromise quality and total rigidity: the CU 1005 is equipped with X and Y slides mounted on pre-stressed rails and ball screws. The vertical axis is formed from a solid cast iron V-guide, on which a rectangular sleeve is guided along 4 rails; it is also driven by a ball screw. Table movements are performed by means of brushless AC motors with digital closed-loop control. Depending on the field of application, the CU 1005 can be equipped with 3, 4 or 5 axes, a 180° rotating transfer table, and either high speed spindles or a multi-spindle block. Numerical control: versatility In the standard model, the CNC control panel is installed on the right of the CU 1005. When the configuration comprises the optional robot loading module, this takes the place of the control panel which is then installed on an articulated arm on the left of the machine. The CU 1005 is equipped with GE-FANUC numerical control. The easy to programme software provides a userfriendly interface between the operator and the machine. Technical data
